Chief Archivist
Vrunda Pathare

Vrunda brings her research and archiving experience combined with her academic qualification in history and records management to the efficient working of Godrej Archives. She began her career as a research assistant to Mr. Sadashiv Gorakshkar (Formerly Director, Prince of Wales Museum) in a project on 'A history of Rajbhavans (Governor's Residences) in Maharashtra (India)' and 'ONGC Golden Jubilee Museum'. Before joining Godrej, she worked as Assistant Archivist at TIFR Archives of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. She was instrumental in setting up the Godrej archives and establishing archival processes as an integral part of the organisational activity. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of Section on Business Archives and Labour of International Council of Archives (France) and a member of the Advisory Board of Rajbhavan Archives (Govt. of Maharashtra, India). She has been a resource person in many national workshops on archives and has presented papers in national and international conferences.


Amruta Marathe

Amruta’s extensive experience in digital archiving comes handy as Godrej Archives moves towards a digital future. As our digital archivist, she brings her expertise in managing digital libraries, into setting up a digital model for archiving the organizational knowledge being preserved at Godrej archives. She was involved in conceptualizing and executing the process flow for the Digital Asset Management Software (DAMS), used at the Archives and developing the user interface for retrieval systems. With a background in library and information science, she has participated in national as well as international conferences on information management as well as virtual and digital libraries. She currently manages the digital archives, DAMS, information services and digitization activity at Godrej Archives.


Records Officer
Sudha Sawant

A post-graduate in History, Sudha uses her expertise in Archives Administration in identifying and accessioning historically relevant records of the organisation. She supervises the cataloguing team responsible for creating finding aides for the collection. She handles and responds to queries that come by phone or mail and also assists researchers and visitors to the archives by disseminating relevant information as per their requests.




Cataloguing Unit

Shweta and Shailaja assist the Archives to create reference media for the available collection at the archives. This reference media is made available to researchers. This reference media that include general descriptions of materials, contents of the collection, and information on access and citation policies, serve as useful finding aides to the Archives' collections.




Records maintenance and Reprography Unit

Sushma after doing Orientation Workshop on Care and Maintenance of Cultural Heritage from National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC), Lucknow, developed an interest in care and maintenance of records at Godrej Archives. She is responsible for providing appropriate housing materials, maintaining storage climates, and making these materials available to the public for reference.
